Actress Salma Hayek was recently running around the big apple with a load of jewelry estimated at about $50,000 worth, and ended up leaving it accidentally in the taxi she was riding in. As luck and coincidence would have it, the person using the taxi after her is not only honest but famous as well.

Hayek will play Sophia Reyes, who was described as "a newcomer to the Mode scene (who will) leave a lasting impression on Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) and Betty Suarez (America Ferrera)."
Hayek started out on Telenovelas, the Spanish soap opera's that "Betty" is likened to.
The actress hasn't held a regular role on prime time television since 1993 when she had a month-long stint on "The Sinbad Show."
