Medical School Show For Salma?

New show for Salma?Fresh from her success with her new hit TV show, Salma is teaming with ER executive producer/writer Joe Sachs on an untitled medical drama for the Fox network. The drama will follow med students at an Ivy League university.

Salma will executive produce the new show with her partner, Jose Tamez, under their Ventanarosa banner. The two produced the hit show Ugly Betty together. The show is a hit, with many people accessing it on numerous devices, including their plasma tvs and laptop computers. It is the second highest rated new show of the 2006 season, just behind Heroes.

Ugly Betty is a remake of a Colombian telenovela, averaging more than 13 million weekly viewers. Salma has a recurring role on the show, as well.

In addition to being a medical consultant on ER since the show began in 1994, Sachs also attended Stanford Medical school, according to Variety. He has written for ER since 1996. Even though Sachs did not receive his medical degree, the guy still has a pretty impressive resume. Not only is he making money, but he is about to work with the lovely Ms. Hayek about medical school university students!
